3 Trips/1 Week

We just loved being in the car so much that by the time we got home from Vegas we were ready to do it all over again. No, not really, but we did anyways.  We unpacked, washed clothes, played with the dogs, watered the garden, repacked (but this time we threw in the boots, cowboy hats and jackets), got a good night sleep and bright and early in the morning we heading off for Jackson Hole. It sounds crazy but in a way it was kind of fun... my house stayed perfectly clean all week and the laundry stayed caught up, it was like staying in a hotel that had everything we needed in between trips.  I was excited for this trip to Jackson because it was with Jeremy. Usually when we go it's just me and the kids, Jeremy always had to work.  Jackson Hole is beautiful and it will always remind me of when Jeremy and I were dating and where we lived when we were newly weds. I love it there.
We got into Jackson in time to enjoy the Fair. Brayden let Ava wash, brush and lead around his huge steer that he was showing the next day. Ava was so excited, she had the time of her life! (I think Jeremy still has all of those pictures on his phone.) We looked at all the animals, Ruthy especially loved the sheep. Then we ate pizza and rode rides till it got dark. Tracy and I went on the scariest but probably the most fun ride I have ever been on... I can't remember what it called but it was awesome!
 Luke and Justin.
Kirby and Ava were inseparable. Kirby snuck her on rides she probably wasn't tall enough to ride. She is quite the dare devil, that one.

Dian took Ruthy on the merry go round. She was in heaven! She couldn't stop petting her horse and waving at us and pointing out everything and anything to Dian.

Stealing some of Nana's drink.
The next day we took a drive over to Teton Village.

For lunch we had to stop at our old usual the Dairy Queen and of course we had to get a Heath Blizzard. ;) Then we checked out the wildlife museum by the Elk Refuge.

This little plant is called a Meadow Rue, I thought it was sweet.

We walked around the town square and let the kids pick out a little treasure. Luke got a wolf sling shot and Ava picked out a pretty necklace with wild flowers painted on it. After shopping we ran into Torie and she gave us a ride on the Stage Coach.

You can't come to Jackson Hole and not get pictures by the Antler Arches. :)

These pictures make me laugh. In one of the shops we went in Ruthy found this huge bear hat and just walked around with it on.

Sittin' on the car in front of the Tetons.

We drove the old Buffalo Valley Road and made it up to Togwotee for a little horseback ride and dinner with Uncle Stan.

It was nice to see a few friendly faces of a few of the horses we remembered from our days at the ranch and farm, like Hank and big ol' Zeek.

Then Uncle Stan showed us his humongous wolf skin and skull. The thing was bigger than me!

Check out those teeth!
The view heading back to town of the sun setting behind the Tetons.
In the morning we headed back towards Turpin Meadow Ranch. You can just make it out through the trees in this picture. Seeing it nestled back at the end of the road brought back so many memories for us.  The Tetons were misty and disappearing in the stormy weather, so the view wasn't quite what it normally is but I made Luke and Ava sit on the fence to add to the many other pictures we've taken here.

 Looking down at the corrals.
The wild flowers were so pretty.

We stopped for a little picnic up at the top meadow and Jeremy told the kids a few funny stories of getting knocked off mules and seeing bears and rounding up the horses early early in the morning.

The Pinnacles
Once you get to Dubois the scenery changes drasticly.

 Pretty red cliffs.

We made a quick stop at the farm in Riverton to feed the horses for Stan. Boy did that bring back the memories.

We had dinner and spent the night with The Richardsons. Wendell even took us out for a spin in his brand new Camaro. I got to drive it out by the airport, so much fun!
The Barlows came over for dinner too,  we loved seeing everyone!
Then we headed home to...you guessed it...unpack, wash some clothes, water the garden, and play with the dogs.

That looks like so much fun. It's been way too long since I've been up there.
Pretty pictures!
