Christoffersen Family Christmas Party
We were very lucky to be entertained this year by Katelyn, Laura, and Ava. (they asked Luke and Thomas to be part of the production but I think Thomas could have cared less and Luke was out when he heard grass skirts would be worn. ) It was a pretty big deal, there was quite a bit of practicing going on at our family get- togethers prier to the show. And as you can see there were even programs printed up.:)
Nativity reenactment
Aves and Brittany
Papa John and Rue cleaning up the mess.
Barker Christmas Eve Party
Everyone playing the Christmas candy game.
Ava unwrapped her darling new kitchen made by Grandma Barker and Rice.
To say she loved it would be an understatement.
She also wore her swimsuit all evening so she would be ready for the hot tub.
Cuddling with Nana
The kids with Dian and Shaun.
Hahaha
3 creepy-eyed excited little kids. One found Santa's Oreos. They put out the oats for the reindeer and Santa's milk and cookies and wrote a note for him.
This was the conversation as they thought about what to write:
Luke: "Ava write we have been really good this year."
Me: "Have you guys been really good this year?"
Ava: "Luke we haven't!"(like she was so shocked to realize this)
Luke: "Well, write that we've tried but we've... had some trouble."
Hahaha. I did have to use the old "you guys better stop arguing.... Santa's watching" a lot this year. They are good kids but they sure have their moments.
When Christmas morning rolled around they were excited to see that Santa must have known they tried pretty hard to be good because it was all there: the snow globe with him in it, the hat and even a toaster and those eggs in a carton. (I'm glad Santa was able to come thru on that one,.eggs in a carton, Santa is a pretty creative guy.;))
Then we just played around all morning, ate Santa cereal, and watched Ruthy's new Tinkerbell movie. Grandma Barker and Rice came over later to say hi and play shoulder ride wii. Christmas day ended with dinner at Grandma Patsy and Papa John's.
